Hello everyone. Many of you have messaged and asked how you can help get the backpacks out to kids during school closures. Unfortunately, our food supply is locked in the schools and the health department has ordered people to stay off campus. Cleaning crews are going in to sanitize. We cannot purchase the amount of food we need right now because food is selling out everywhere. We will try to work on a plan of how to gather food and get it out to families. I know many are afraid of going out, being around people, and transmitting the virus, so we may not be able to get food out the next few weeks until schools open. Luckily, full backpacks went home with kids yesterday before school closed. We will update ASAP. Thank you and stay healthy.💙

LOYB had another busy week of packing meals for our students. We want to thank LeRoyce and Sue Peterson for their generous donation of fresh oranges to our program. Fresh fruit has been an important addition to our backpack program and appreciated by our families. A shout out goes to Dr. Carlson of Bonsall for his continued donation of toothbrushes and toothpaste for our students. Thank you to all our weekly volunteers we couldn't do it without you!
LOYB would like to thank Lisa Hebb, Pacific Western Bank in Bonsall, and their customers for their generous support of our program. We are very appreciative that Lisa recommended LOYB as the charity of the month at her local branch. She conducted a very successful food and monetary drive for our organization. We were overwhelmed by the food and monetary donations from the bank and their customers that Lisa delivered yesterday to Bonsall Elementary School. Our heartfelt thanks for your generosity to our program ❤
